MENLO MUSIC MENTORS
Connecting Menlo Park Music Students to Exceptional Mentors
ABOUT US
Menlo Music Mentors is working to keep Menlo Park's young musicians involved and excited about music. We pair middle and upper elementary students with high school musicians in order to provide personalized private lessons for every student. In addition, we provide weekly group lessons with students across the program to broaden and develop their love of music. In doing this, we hope to give young musicians positive role models that will inspire them to work hard in music.
WHEN OUR COMMUNITY
IS DEFINED BY DISTANCE, WE'RE HERE TO MAKE CONNECTIONS
Our Mentors
The first and most important thing we look for in all of our teachers is the ability to connect with younger students. In addition, every instructor excels in both their instrument and their ensembles. In every lesson, our focus is on developing the musical world of our students. Through these connections, we want to motivate students to practice hard and become the best musicians they can possibly be.
OUR PROGRAM IN A NUTSHELL
Technique
At the core of every great musician is a solid foundation of music technique. In our weekly lessons, we provide students with the instruction and resources they need to develop their technical ability on their instruments.
Musicality
Music isn't just about the notes on the page. In order to excel at their instrument, students must internalize a deeper understanding and sense of music as a whole. In our lessons, we teach music theory, introduce students to great artists, and instill a love of music
Connection
The motivation to practice and get better comes from a motivating teacher. Our instructors truly seek to mentor students in all things music because we know from our own experience that invested teachers make for great student musicians.
Pricing
Menlo Music Mentors provides two lessons a week for students to learn. One is a private lesson with an instructor and the other is a masterclass-style group lesson. Combined, these two lessons cost $25 dollars per week.
Our main goal is to get every student a lesson regardless of their financial situation or ability to pay. We're willing to work with families on a variety of solutions to finance lessons.
